What I Do

Most people think stalking comes from relationships. That’s the problem.

This newsletter dismantles standard assumptions, exposing the hidden dynamics and systemic blind spots that put victims at risk.

ABOUT

Caroline Saul is a critical criminology researcher investigating the realities of stalking, currently completing her final academic module before embarking on a pre-doctorate. Her work draws on direct engagement with victims alongside an extensive, established background in social housing and community safety. She examines how patterns of behaviour and control are experienced in practice, and how institutional responses often fail to recognise or respond to these harms. She challenges the framework that limits stalking to relationship dynamics, showing how patterns of monitoring and intrusion emerge before any connection is established and reshape victims’ sense of safety and autonomy.

She shares the victim's perspective and her work through podcasting and writing, and has been featured on ITV News as part of coverage for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. She has also contributed to radio discussions on forms of perpetrator dynamics, and delivers specialist briefings and panel talks on stalking, victim experience, and institutional response.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

  • I attended your session yesterday and I wanted to reach out and let you know how impactful you were, and how moved I was by your experience but equally how energised I felt by your presentation. You are an incredible woman, and your voice, your honesty and your commitment are incredibly empowering. Thank you, seems such a small thing to say for what you shared, but I mean it wholeheartedly.
